Dr. Driscoll provides a number of psychological assessment services.
Psychodiagnostic Assessments
Psychodiagnostic assessment is an assessment often used to help identify and differentiate a client’s symptoms, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and provide insight into a client’s daily experience. The assessment typically combines objective psychological testing, a comprehensive clinical interview, and a review of collateral information to identify areas of psychological concern and diagnostic symptoms as well as areas of resilience and client strengths. This information is used to generate a comprehensive treatment plan as well as appropriate treatment recommendations.
Psychological Legal Assessments
Independent psychological legal assessments are specialized assessments requested by insurance providers, lawyers, or other third parties to provide information regarding the nature and severity of an individual’s psychological injuries as well as the potential relationship between a traumatic event and a person’s psychological difficulties. An objective review of collateral documentation, clinical interview and psychological testing is completed to generate information regarding the prognosis for an individual’s personal, social, and occupational functioning as well as appropriate recommendations for treatment.
